August 16-17-18 we will be hosting the 2024 Western Canadian 1/5 Scale Nationals, full weekend event.

Racers from all over North America converge on Calgary for a three day BRAAAPfest! High flying clay track racing that is sure to get your blood pumping!
Racers require a MyLaps, MRT or AMB transponder to race. We run the MyLaps RC3 Decoder so make sure your transponder is compatible.
BEAST Mode! BRAAAP
1:5 scale off-road, the true beasts of the RC land world. Weighing as much as 40 lbs. and running large cc 2-stroke gas engines these trucks and buggies absolutely RIP!
1/5 Racing
BlackfootRC uses a MyLaps timing system to record laps when racing. We run classes for 2WD, 4WD Truck and 4WD Buggy. We hold qualifying rounds to seed the racers into the final Main event for each class... this is when things get real!
We've attracted a few new racers this year which is what we aim to do!
1/5 racing is a lot of fun for both new and experienced drivers. The seasoned guys are always willing to pitch in help out the new racers so come out and give it a try!
The Track
The build was massive with over 220 tandem axle loads of clay brought in, massive heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, front-end loaders, skid steers and vibratory packers. A brand new 2" high pressure water line was trenched in to provide water to the track, keep the dust down and the traction high! The track is fast and super technical but is still easy enough for the new to the hobby folks.
When we're not holding race events the track is open to the public and any scale of RC can use it. Bash on!
